Susan qualified as a Registered Dietitian in 1992 at the Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada. She worked in the food industry for 20 years before starting her private practice in Canada, and then moved to London to study for her Masters at the University of Roehampton, where she specialised in the treatment of obesity.
While studying for her Masters, Susan researched the diagnosis and treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and lectured in the Dietetics Department at the London Metropolitan University. Susan has an eCertificate from Cornell University in plant-based nutrition.
Since qualifying in 1992 Susan has worked in hospitals, schools and in the community. Her private practice offers tailored nutritional education to patients, clients and students, and she works for the Government of Jersey’s Public Health department, helping families facing obesity to live healthy lives.

Susan lives the life she recommends for her clients: she runs with friends, she loves to cook, try out new recipes and stay fit.
“My career is also my lifestyle. I wouldn’t recommend anything that I haven’t tried myself. And it’s not about dieting and restricting what we can eat. It’s about making small changes in our lives that will improve our health for the long term.”

There has been a surge in popularity amongst clients, particularly from at-risk individuals such as pregnant women or cancer patients, making it a necessity that clinicians take their practice virtually to meet the needs of their clients.
